**About the Employer**
The Salinas Union High School District educates the students in the City of Salinas. The District has an enrollment of 16,000 students in grades 7 through 12. SUHSD includes four middle school (grades 7-8), five high schools (grades 9-12), a continuation high school, an alternative school, an adult school and ROP facilities. We have plans for a fifth middle school.

**Requirements / Qualifications**
High school graduate or equivalent. Must have valid Childrens Center Permit or the equivalent of twelve (12) Early Childhood Education Units in areas of Home/School and Community, Child/Human Development and Programs/Curriculum. Valid First-Aid certificate and Infant/Child CPR training required. Transcripts & First Aid/CPR certificates must be attached to application. Work within well-defined guidelines in the application of standard of childcare methods and procedures. Ability may be required to be bilingual in English and a designated second language. Applicant should have knowledge of ages and stages of child development and basic physical, social, intellectual and emotional development of young children. Moderate physical labor; must be able to lift toddlers and pre-school children. See job description for further specifics.
