Reporting to: Vice President, Manufacturing & Distribution

Location: Culloden, WV (On-Site when not traveling for business purposes)


General Summary:

The Director of Manufacturing & Distribution will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing operations across three plants. Focused on Safety, Quality, and Service, the ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven leader with a proven track record in industrial management. This role requires a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to driving continuous improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Proactive Health and Safety Culture:

  • Commitment to a proactive safety culture and collaboration for ongoing improvement.
  • Drive and champion a proactive and preventive health and safety culture.
  • Establish and promote best practices to ensure the well-being and safety of all team members.


Manufacturing Oversight:

  • Ensure the consistent achievement of production, performance, and quality standards.
  • Direct and lead the team to accomplish both immediate and long-term department goals.
  • Drive planning, material flow, and process improvement initiatives.


Distribution Leadership:

  • Lead distribution initiatives with a focus on efficiency, safety, and process improvements.
  • Manage and optimize the flow of products through the distribution network.


Quality Management:

  • Ensure products meet or exceed established standards.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.


Operational Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and execute departmental plans and strategies aligned with overall organizational goals.
  • Regularly analyze departmental production and functions for effectiveness


Management and Collaboration:

  • Utilize effective management methodologies to address workforce issues.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve performance, efficiency, and productivity.


Technology and Innovation:

  • Assist with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of advanced technology.


Engagement and Team Development:

  • Foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement within the manufacturing and distribution teams.
  • Implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, motivation, and retention.
  • Lead initiatives to develop the skills and capabilities of team members.


Reporting and Communication:

  • Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in a relevant field required; Master s degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years experience in industrial management, supply chain supervision, or production leadership.
  • Proven leadership ability with strong organizational and managerial skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Work performed in both office and production environments.
  • Periodic exposure to outdoor temperature extremes.
  • Requires standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
  • Hand and finger dexterity for manipulating controls, tools, and objects.
  • Visual inspection of material quality.
  • Personal protective equipment is required.
  • Up to 50% travel primarily to other facilities; in-office when not traveling for business purposes.
