The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of shop resources. This includes but
is not limited to planning production schedules, addressing personnel issues, initiating and reviewing
projects, as well as general shop upkeep. It is the Production Manager s responsibility to modify and
adapt the shop and schedule to ensure that the production process is carried out within budget and on
time. The Production Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities
Support and drive a culture of Safety, continuous improvement and employee development.
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.
Develop an annual Production Department budget at the beginning of each calendar year.
o Includes reviewing shop maintenance, procuring new equipment and labor projections.
Responsible for hiring Vehicle Assembly Mechanics, Fabricator/Welders and Mechanical
Assemblers.
Supervise and evaluate performance of all Production personnel, including Mechanics,
Fabricators, Shock Assembly Technicians, Production Coordinators, etc.
Undertake continuous training and development of department employees.
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
Implement and Maintain a Production Schedule and Capacity Plan.
Assign and oversee all production projects.
Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
Approve facility maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc.
Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations.
Skills Required
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
Proven experience in production management (5+ years), preferably in a Defense manufacturing
environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing improvement
initiatives.
Strong familiarity with production planning and scheduling software, ERP systems, and other
relevant tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with
employees at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Proven track record of achieving production targets and driving operational excellence.
Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
Knowledge of mechanical systems, engineering drawings, industry workings
Working knowledge of business financials
ISO 9000 (and/or other certification experience) would be highly advantageous.

Physical Demands
Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching,
routinely lifting, and carrying parts and equipment 15-50 pounds.
Classification
Position is full-time, Exempt
Position requires full time work week spent in the shop/office. Normal hours are Monday Thursday
7:00am-4:30pm, and Friday 7:00am -12:00pm. (Must be flexible to work additional hours as needed
based on project requirements and deadlines).
