Revolution Cannabis is hiring an Assistant Manager, to oversee our manufacturing processes. This includes (but is not limited to) motivating a multi-tiered staff while being a driving force in the collection and communication of production data. We are an innovator in this emerging market. This is a newly created role due to our aggressive growth and expansion. The will be someone with the proven ability to lead a diverse staff to achieve product quality while strictly adhering to regulatory constraints. A continuous improvement mindset and passion are required. The ideal candidate will leverage automation to increase capacity and output in aid of satisfying our customers demand for high-end products that meet our exacting standards. The AMS will be a teacher and a leader who has the crucial interpersonal skills required to achieve the long-term goals necessary to Revolution Cannabis continued success.

**Essential Functions****:**

* Manage, motivate, and lead a multi-tiered food/packaging and general production staff

* Own ultimate responsibility for the second shifts performance and output

* Continuously train all directs on all safety and quality measures (OSHA/GMPS/HAACP)

* Onboard all new employees on all safety, and quality measures (OSHA/GMPS/HAACP)

* Stringently enforce all safety practices and guidelines during the execution all work functions

* Drive enhancement of a food safety/hygiene focused culture in edible(s) production

* Participate in new employee searches, interviews, and evaluations

* Motivate staff to embrace our culture of safety and quality

* Responsible for all direct reports adherence to all current and future regulatory requirements

* Document and archive employee regulatory compliance, including disciplinary actions

* Participate in daily manufacturing set up and shut down processes

* Oversee pre- and post-production meeting(s) to maintain messaging and continuity of purpose

* Assist security department with all product custody and proprietary information issues

**Essential Functions (contd):**

* Drive the use of ERP and other systems as both a communication and planning tool

* Capture process data to improve efficiencies, in labor and automation output

* Direct and plan workflow(s)based on staff, time, and equipment constraints

* Track labor and production to maximize scheduling/head count/shifting

* Meet output goals and milestones while upholding quality, regulatory and process integrity

* Ensure processes and product follow internal quality standards set by the Quality department

* Support and implement cost optimizations via data collection for budget reports/forecasts

* Anticipate and plan for scaling and automation upgrades via project management tools

* Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles to increase efficiency and create cost optimizations

* Predict multiple product/process line work flows to achieve maximum yields and outputs

* Monitor sampling and retains management documentation and custody

* Report all equipment and automation efficiency, efficacy, and repair issues

* Convey production progress (milestones/goals/budgets/adherence) to senior management

* Facilitate communication and collaboration between Manufacturing and Quality departments

* Facilitate communication and collaboration between first and second shifts

* Enforce adherence to internal procedures (SOPs/GMPs) and external regulations

* Immediately document and explain all planned and unplanned SOP deviations

* Embrace all changes to approaches and SOPs per management directives

* Expand and craft SOPs as warranted given new processes that arise due to growth

* Maintain documentation system including production and compliance logs

**Minimum Education:**

* High School Diploma or a bachelors degree

**Minimum Experience:**

* 3-5+ years in a manufacturing setting, ideally in a regulated industry (food/pharma)

* 3+ years of direct report management, training, motivation, and discipline

* Experience leading a team in day-to-day operations without direct oversight is ideal

* A history of process data collection is necessary (OEE/time studies etc.)

* Past immersion in an ERP system as an end user during a build or implementation

* Prior history dealing with scaling and/or automation upgrades is useful

* Exposure to a multi-product and process environment is a plus

* Lean Six Sigma certifications and past implementations are also a plus

* 3 + years of SOP/GMP enforcement and intermittent creation

* Cannabis industry experience/exposure/knowledge is an advantage

**Physical Requirements:**

* Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods

* Must be able to speak at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

* Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more.
