Sales Associates are responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Greet guests with a welcoming, friendly, and outgoing attitude
* Serve customers by establishing rapport, building customer confidence, providing accurate information, and promoting product through point of successful sale
* Establish professional, personalized rapport with customers in person and over the phone
* Answer all questions, providing detailed information, and establishing trust with customers to help close sales
* Approach and reapproach customers to maximize sales
* Describe and promote products in line with customer's express needs as well as promoting purchase of related products
* Use POS software to efficiently complete sales and exhibit accurate cash handling skills
* Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
* Promote extended warranty/maintenance agreements, parts and accessories purchase
* Provide light cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal
Qualifications:
* Commitment to exceptional customer service
* Ability to connect with guests with an outgoing, friendly attitude
* Team-oriented and responsible
* Familiarity with Patagonia company and product - preferred
* Avid outdoorsperson with an understanding of the technical requirement for quality backcountry clothing - highly preferred
* Maintain a working knowledge of products and trends within the industry
* Previous retail sales experience - preferred
* Ability to communicate fluently with co-workers and guests in accurate spoken and written English - required
* Basic computer skills - required
* Ability to work a flexible schedule; including nights, holidays and weekends - required

The budgeted range starts at $15-$16. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
