Job Information:

Diagnose and Repair Material Handling Equipment from all Manufacturer s Lines


What you'll do as a Technician:

  • Diagnose and Repair various brands of material handling equipment within a shop.
  • Maintain a very high level of customer service at all times
  • Work in a safe manor always adhering to all OSHA regulations
  • Recommend methods for service improvements


Role & Responsibility:

Technical Standards Comprehension and Proficiency

  • Comprehend and retain knowledge of OSHA Compliance standards
  • Proficiency or basic understanding of how to read wiring schematics and hydraulic schematics
  • Read Technical drawings, vehicle manufacture s specifications, work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts


Compliance Controls

  • Safety Procedures-Adhere to safety procedures and perform all work in a safe manor.
  • Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Repairing - Repair machines or systems using the needed tools.
  • Troubleshooting Determine cause of the equipment failure and how to repair it


Job Requirements:

  • Education Required: High School Diploma (or GED or High School education equivalent)
  • Education Preferred: Post-Secondary Certificate in Mechanical Field (Diesel Mechanic s)
  • Customer and Personal Service
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing high levels of customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction


Mechanical/Electrical Operations, Maintenance

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses repair and maintenance


Skills Required

  • Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Time Management - Managing one's own time effectively and in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Equipment Maintenance - Proficiency in Diesel, Gasoline and LP fuel systems. Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems, pumps, pressures, and functions. Preference given to candidates with experience on Curtis Electric Controllers and/or SME Electric Controllers
