NEW Opportunity in the WEST METRO! We are helping a local business seeking a Production Supervisor on 1st shift! In this role the Production Supervisor expectations are to contribute to the success of their customers by ensuring daily production line output meets or exceeds the production schedule and quality requirements. This person will also be responsible for management of all employees on 1st shift during their shift including performance, attendance, coaching and corrective action.

Schedule: 1st Shift; 12 hour rotating schedule

Responsibilities

Responsible for participating in setting and obtaining production output goals for all machines
Enforce optimal line speed and suggest adjustments to personnel placement as required
Effectively communicate with incoming and outgoing shifts as related to optimal running of production lines
Assist operators in obtaining maximum production
Assist operators in diagnosing complex machine issues, work with maintenance, staff and outside contractors to resolve issues
Guide and assist in troubleshooting of production machine problems
Coordinate training for shift employees
Conduct 90-day and yearly performance reviews and promotion for business needs
Ensure equipment is cleaned to meet company standards
Manage production staffing levels
Train new hires
Identify, report and resolve safety issues

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years in a flexible packaging environment; supervision experience preferred
Prior experience troubleshooting machines on a production line
Prior forklift experience is required
Forklift experience is preferred
Ability to train employees in all aspect of manufacturing process
Strong communication skills
High Diploma or GED is required
