People Architects is excited to partner with our Stark County based client as we recruit for our Director Distribution Operations. Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing D2C tech-enabled consumer products company that is building a global growth platform, acquiring and evolving e-commerce brands into household brands.


Summary:

With a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and market leadership, we are seeking a dynamic, gritty and hungry Director Distribution Operations to join our innovative, fast-growing and passionate team based in Stark County Ohio.


Position Overview: As the Director Distribution Operations, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and optimizing the day-to-day activities of production, shipping, and customer service, ensuring seamless operations and efficient delivery of our products to customers. Your expertise in managing teams and processes will be critical to achieving our organizational goals and maintaining our high standards of quality and customer

satisfaction.


Responsibilities include:

Manage and supervise production team, including production supervisors, operators, and technicians.

Develop and implement production schedules and workflows to meet production targets and deadlines.

Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles.

Collaborate with other departments to enhance product development and resolve production-related issues.

Ensure timely and accurate order processing, packing, and shipment of products to customers.

Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts or overages.

Implement shipping and logistics best practices to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Work with carriers and freight forwarders to negotiate shipping contracts and resolve any shipment-related concerns.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in both production and shipping activities.

Conduct safety training and implement safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees.

Keep abreast of relevant regulations and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.

Develop and implement customer service strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.

Oversee complaint resolution and ensure timely response to customer inquiries.

Monitor customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.


Qualifications (required and preferred):

  • 5+ years of management and implementation experience in a distribution warehouse setting.
  • Experience with KPI setting and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to implement change and improve overall service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills leads by example / demonstrated ability to promote and maintain a culture of high performance and high morale.
