The Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing, supporting, and maintaining the enterprise data and analytics framework and data-related applications to support cross-business functions and domains.

All work of the Data Architect is conducted within regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Known as the trusted technical source for knowledge and advice on complex solutions and projects

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (U.S.) or 3rd level degree (EU) in Computer Science or equivalent
    AND/OR
  • Technical Certification (e.g. Microsoft, Citrix, VMware) AND/OR
  • Experience (9+ years) in similar role

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:
  • Good understanding of data modeling techniques (hierarchical, relational, object oriented, entity-relational, dimensional, graph) and principles (1NF, 2NF, 3NF)
  • Experience administering, developing in, and establishing best practices for Informatica SaaS data integration solution (IICS).
  • Experience defining enterprise data architecture framework, standards, and principles across different data domains.
  • Exposure to data and analytics applications such as cloud data solutions, data pipelines, analytics platforms, and data governance applications/catalogs. (Snowflake, Tableau, Alation preferred)
  • Exposure to Agile operating model(s) (Scrum, kanban, Scrum-Ban)
  • Analyze business requirements and author technical specifications for data solutions, including data pipelines, data models, integrations, transformations, and data marts/warehouses.
  • Understands the technology from a systematic, "big picture" view
  • Ensure that the data and analytics solutions align with enterprise architecture principles and business strategy direction.
  • Design and develop data engineering solutions, balancing business needs and technical implementation details to satisfy requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and reliability of data assets.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for assigned technical areas and has knowledge in other key business area(s)
  • Manages multi-functional and multi-site teams and projects
  • Facilitates knowledge sharing and creative problem solving with the affected business function
  • Knows and/or has experience with pharmaceutical concepts (e.g. GxP, validation)


Candidate must be able to accommodate a hybrid 2-3/days per week in office schedule.
