This is accomplished through the requirement that all FPH employees receive an annual influenza vaccination. H.R. Dept. 863-###-#### **Purpose of this position**

Serve the residents/guests and as a member of the dining services team, you will assist with meal preparation, dining room service/assistance, dishwashing and set-up/cleaning of kitchen/dining room. Monitor food preferences, menu compliance and dietary restrictions.

**Position Requirements**

**Educational**

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

**Experience**

* Ability to read, write, understand and follow Instructions/directions in the English language

* Take both written and oral direction from a supervisor

* Have a working understanding of waitstaff service styles; can pre-set a table with glassware, flatware and china

* Previous experience preferred in skilled nursing dining and/or long term care, assisted living, CCRC or hospital dining

**Other Requirements**

* Willingness to work with a senior population

* Shows a significant interest in food and hospitality

* Able to work weekends, evenings and holidays; as assigned

* Puts Customer Service First: Ensures that customers, guests and families receive the highest quality of service in an attentive and responsive atmosphere which recognizes the individuals needs and rights

**Performance Standards**

**Technical Functions**

* Prepares dining room and tray service according to menus and follows diet orders

* Has knowledge of menu items and can provide a general description to the guests/residents

* Responsible for serving, clearing and cleaning dishes and tables

* Responsible for meals and beverages and serving requested items according to established dietary and skilled nursing guidelines

* Responds to the dining needs of the residents while maintaining FPHI hospitality and service standards

* Obtains food and supplies for meal service as directed

* Follows all local, state and federal policies regarding food handling

* Maintains FPHI standards of cleanliness, personal hygiene, health standards and dining uniform

**Customer Service**

* Achieves a high level of resident satisfaction.

* Contributes to a high level of teamwork and team member satisfaction

* Contributes to a high level of satisfaction with other internal and external customers.

* Promote the Homes mission and vision. Helps maintain a good public relations program that serves the best interest of the community.
