POSITION TITLE: Senior Vice President, Human Resource. This position reports to the CEO and manages a team of human resources professionals.


LOCATION: On-site. MES Headquarters, Sandy Hook, CT (seeking local candidates)

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - As part of the leadership team, the SVP of Human Resources is responsible for strategic and operational HR guidance across the organization. This person will lead the HR team to deliver professional support to the organization while fostering the desired workforce culture through MES s policies, programs, and practices. They will become the administrator for HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, compliance, policy administration, disciplinary matters, performance management, and salary administration.


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Expertise: Lead the HR team in managing the full spectrum of HR functions
  • Employee Relations: Create positive relationships and cultivate a constructive work environment that builds and ensures employee engagement, productivity, and trust
  • Communication Clear communication regarding company policies, programs, and compliance requirements. Facilitate and improve communication among employees.
  • On-boarding & Off-boarding: Design and oversee programs that facilitate seamless transitions for new hires, a point person for M&A HR activities, and a positive departure with exit feedback
  • Corporate Culture: Help define, communicate, and instill MES s culture throughout the organization
  • Training & Development: Implement programs to continually enhance the skills of both staff and leadership, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
  • Health and Welfare Benefits: Management of employee benefits plan design, implementation, renewals, and compliance
  • Talent Acquisition: Develop/ drive talent acquisition strategies and oversee recruitment team to ensure effective staffing alignment with business needs
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Development of optimal organizational structure and communication plans designed to engage employees and promote teamwork and inclusiveness


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in HR, demonstrating expertise in building and overseeing all facets of HR operations within a multi-state organization with at least 500 employees.


We seek a high-energy working leader who excels in the fast-paced environment of private equity, with proficiency in managing and integrating mergers and acquisitions.


The successful candidate will exhibit a passion for coaching field leadership, with a deep commitment to fostering positive employee relations and driving professional development.

  • Enthusiasm for hands-on work coupled with a solid business and financial acumen
  • Passion for understanding the business to design the most effective and best fit HR programs for this expanding and fast-paced organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
