**Banquet Server**
At The Abington Club we host events of all shapes and sizes for a variety of occasions. A banquet server is responsible for effectively assisting food and beverage services and aiding in the overall logistics of the banquet events by way of set-up, clear communication and teamwork, while maintaining the companys standard for excellence. Furthermore, servers are to be accommodating to all guests while circulating the room, and responding politely to their requests.
**Banquet Server Roles & Responsibilities**
* Ability to demonstrate superior knowledge of our food offerings
* Event setup - prepares room for dining by clothing tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
* Maintains table setting by removing plates as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water stations, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
* Assisting kitchen staff with food distribution and communicate with kitchen staff of meal progression and replenishment
* Maintain cleanliness throughout the space
* Respond in timely fashion to requests or questions of hosts and guests
* Communication with event lead and staff members at the highest level
* Maintain the dining ambiance with an enthusiastic attitude
* Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
* Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of establishment and inviting patrons to return
**Banquet Server Requirements**
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* The ability to lift 20+ lbs and travel up and down stairs while holding trays, food and other supplies or materials
* Ability to work as a team as well as independently
* Understand the importance of delivering excellent customer service
* Excellent verbal communication
* Enthusiastic energy
* Resolving conflict and working quickly on your feet. We never say I don't know we say I will find the answer to your question

**Work Hours**Daytime and nighttime events, mostly weekends, some occasional weekday events.
