Project Manager/Estimator


Seeking detail-oriented driven project manager/estimator to work in the industrial, chemical, and pharmaceutical process plant and equipment industry. Must be a creative thinker and problem solver. Must be willing to learn about the different types of process plants and equipment the company purchases and sells. This position is based in our Princeton Junction, NJ world headquarters.


Primary responsibilities include:


  • Project Estimation and Acquisition Travel to prospective jobsites and perform equipment evaluations as well as demolition, scrap, abatement and rigging estimations. Collect information and present written reports. Author project proposals, work plans, safety plans and other documents. Negotiate agreements. Manage subcontractor/vendor relationships necessary to execute projects.


  • Project Management/Execution (not on site full time) Oversee all deliverables as required by seller, buyer and company needs to manage and execute safe, complete, and timely projects. Create detailed project-specific work plans, safety plans and scopes of work. Travel to sites regularly as needed to manage/coordinate all aspects of project including but not limited to scope completion, management of subcontractors and vendors, recycling, abatement, logistics, and waste disposal. Ensure company safety policies and plans are adhered to at all times. Coordinate with project owners and IPP customers to ensure satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • 5 years project management experience in demolition, rigging, plant relocation
  • Hunger for knowledge and learning new things.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Experience writing industrial demolition material and labor takeoffs and estimates/proposals.
  • Basic knowledge of scrap metal commodity markets at a minimum. Advanced knowledge preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, primarily domestic

  • Ability to bridge cultural differences and technical levels in deadline-driven environments in order to safely and satisfactorily tender project deliverables.
