SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to deliver warehouse level configuration data, offer technical support to meet production needs and provide ongoing support to the operations staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide support to the operations group to optimize efficiency of equipment, systems and personnel.
Provide system solutions to operating requirements using personal analytical skills as well as knowledge in order to facilitate production processes and enhance productivity
Resolve production issues related to system application within the warehouse environment using technical skills, hardware & software knowledge and troubleshooting techniques to maintain the expected system performance and production levels.
Maintain systems-related equipment in optimum operating condition using inspection and testing methods, hands-on adjustments and outside support in order to minimize equipment downtime and optimize efficiency.
Train production employees to perform their job responsibility regarding system applications using training aids and operating procedures developed
Support computer systems (hardware & software) and office equipment for operations
Assess and repair PCs and peripherals requiring service to return them to full functionality
Configure PCs hardware and software to required specifications. Maintain all connection between PCs and network, troubleshooting applications and related problems
Provide technical support for IT applications: Internal Reporting, time Tracking and back-end SQL-style databases
Exercise and maintain Ryder IT policies and strategy in accordance with current Ryder business practices and strategies
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain assets for supported Ryder IT group
Ensure PCs have licenses for applicable software
Respond to Help Desk requests within required response time. Provide analysis of Help Desk requests as needed
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
H.S. diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE
Six (6) years or more experience Expert experience with PCs and peripherals hardware and assembly
Six (6) years or more experience with desk-side support of all Microsoft Windows environments
SKILLS
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Able to work with minimum supervision
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Possesses strong technical aptitude. Able to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport
. Able to persuade others and gain understanding
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
KNOWLEDGE
LICENSES
Other A+ certification (Upon Hire, required).
Other MCSA and Net+ certifications (Upon Hire, preferred).
