The Department of Family Medicine (familymedicine.georgetown.edu) at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a full-time faculty physician. This position includes 0.7 clinical time and 0.1 clinical administrative time at MedStar Health Family Medicine at Spring Valley, 0.1 residency precepting at the MedStar Health/Georgetown-Washington Hospital Center Family Medicine Residency Program and 0.1 medical student education responsibilities at Georgetown University School of Medicine. This FTE distribution may also be adjusted to accommodate 0.2-0.3 Research (0.6 clinical, 0.1 clinical administrative time, 0.2-0.3 research, 0.1 residency precepting). This faculty position will collaborate with the Director of Medical Student Education, Residency Program Director, Vice Chair for Education, and the Department Chair for educational programs, and Vice Chair for Research at the AAFP Robert Graham Center for Policy Studies for research development. Opportunities exist for precepting residents and students in both inpatient settings at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital, and outpatient residency or faculty practice settings. Inpatient adult Family Medicine preferred but not required. MD, DO or equivalent with current ABFM certification or equivalent required.
Position includes appointment at a non-tenured assistant professor level with commensurate salary; advanced appointment and salary are dependent upon experience or qualifications.
