COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The compensation package will consist of a competitive base salary determined, in part, by the successful candidate's level of professional experience. The successful candidate will qualify for participation in the Company-wide Incentive program.

Location: Onalaska, Wisconsin Job Requirements: POSITION DESCRIPTION and Responsibilities

The **Buyer** will be responsible for analyzing, planning, and coordinating raw material purchases for all business units. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work pro-actively toward problem resolution and will exhibit strong follow through skills.

The Buyer will report to the Materials Manager and will work closely with the Operations staff in addition to collaboration with other functional areas.

Specific responsibilities for the **Buyer** portion include:

* Purchase and plan Raw Materials to support production.

* Execute procurement planning schedules to optimize service and inventory turns.

* Facilitate the supplier relationship from selection/qualification through negotiation and audit processes, including scheduling.

* Analyze MRP and initiate appropriate action.

* Ensure that quality, delivery, flexibility, service, and cost objectives are met for purchased parts.

* Arrange for delivery and distribution of raw materials and supplies to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules.

* Monitor/Coordinate the status of open purchase orders, identify problems, and take corrective action to expedite the workflow within Production Operations.

Experience, Qualifications and Education

The ideal candidate will have:

* A minimum of 2 years of materials/purchasing experience. The preferred candidate will have experience purchasing components for manufactured assemblies.

* A proven record of managing supplier relationships including negotiations of agreements. Will also have experience qualifying vendors.

* A record of achievements in inventory control and MRP system management.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* A track record of demonstrated cost savings.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Strong academic background including an Associates or Bachelors degree (Operations or Production Management preferred). Appropriate experience may be substituted for education requirement.

* APICS and/or C.P.M. certifications preferred.
