Join a California healthcare organization as the Manager of Behavioral Health Services, partnering with various departments on behavioral health program initiatives aligned with organizational strategies. This role involves developing team goals, overseeing departmental action plans, and implementing effective behavioral health treatment programs. Responsibilities include monitoring performance, recommending policy changes, managing patient care processes, participating in external stakeholder meetings, and managing the department budget. Additionally, the manager will identify and implement system enhancements, resolve complex service issues, and prepare for audits and reports. This position reports to the Executive Director of Behavioral Health and Social Services.


Type of Work: Full time, Remote, Must be a California Resident, currently.


Oversees: Behavioral Health Unit Case Managers and Behavioral Health Care Coordinators


The Ideal candidate will be:

  • Master's degree in Human Services, Public Health, Social Work, Mental Health, Healthcare Administration, strongly preferred.
  • Unrestricted California license for a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst, required.
  • 5+years of experience in Case Management, Utilization Review in Behavioral Health within a Managed Care Organization, required.
  • 1-3+ years of progressive leadership experience in a healthcare setting, required.
  • Experience working with Medi-Cal and/or Medicare with Behavioral Health Services, required.
  • Knowledge of of DHCS and NCQA accreditation requirements preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of the principles, practices and regulatory requirements of managed care, strongly preferred.

Salary: $150k annually DOE, Benefits.
