Apex is looking for a Residential Field Estimator with experience in the underground wet utility (water and sewer) industry. It is important that you will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight timeframes and have an organized and process-oriented approach to gathering relevant information and working with stakeholders. The team primarily works in the field responding to customer estimate requests, so a clean MVR and excellent customer service skills are required! Job Duties:
- Respond to estimate requests in the field- (job assigned within the sales team geographically)
- Costs by labor, material, and time requirements utilizing the base software
- Presents estimates by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information into the company data base software
- Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or crew leader to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues- issue change orders
- Enters all relevant information into a database
- Follows up with customers on submitted estimates
- Ability to handle disputes and interface with customers to maintain positive customer relationships
- Contact once the job is complete to review the job and arrange collection of payment
Requirements of the position:
- Must have a minimum of two years water and sewer and/or estimating experience
- Must be self-motivated and punctual
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally
- Must be professional and polished in appearance and speech
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle record
- Must be computer literate and be able to effectively use communication technology (smart phones, internet, etc.)

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (Occasional Saturday for follow-ups)
