ProspectBlue seeks a Senior Sales Representative for a great client in Richmond, VA.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Experience in selling commodities
  • Capability to join an established culture and live out Red River Foods' values and mission
  • Ability to build relationships with peers, cross-functional counterparts, and upper management.
  • People-oriented personality
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and with all levels and departments within the company

Business Development:
  • Scout for new business opportunities through email outreach and cold calls.
  • Assess prospects' industry position, ingredient utilization, and potential for partnerships.
  • Ability to gain intuition for changing market dynamics and anticipation of customer needs
  • Strength in relaying market knowledge, information insights and interpretations from procurement and origin-based teams in usable, efficient terms.
  • Effective and efficient assessment and analysis of provided data and reports for use in directly growing sales
  • Persistent and pervasive selling persona required
  • Expand the customer prospect list through online research, on-site scouting, and staying abreast of industry trends.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Commodities trading experience preferred
  • Food + Beverage Experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
