Laboratory Technician

• NOTE: THIS ROLE IS A 12 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION

Qualifications:

1. 1-3 year of demonstrated laboratory experience

1. Computer literate in Microsoft Office products - word, excel and powerpoint.

1. Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data

1. Comfortable and able to work with toxic chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols. - The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.

1. Associates or Bachelor's degree in a technical field

Plusses:

1. Experience with adhesives, coatings, or related materials

Responsibilities:

1. Basic experience in the lab/workshop setting

2. Understanding of safety

3. Willing to learn and trainable

4. Attention to detail

5. Comfortable with Excel sheets

6. A degree in material science, mechanical/civil/structural/material/chemical engineering would be plus.
