As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Fitness Instructor demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Fitness Instructor encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care services at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Fitness Instructor.
**Fitness Instructor Job Functions:**
* Provide instruction, demonstration, leadership, and supervision of fitness classes.
* Monitor benefits, risks, contraindications, and side effects with participants of fitness classes.
* Maintain cleanliness, neatness, and safety of fitness equipment, facilities, and department.
* Maintain participant release forms and attendance records.
* Evaluate the learning needs and capabilities of fitness class participants and initiate corrective feedback in a timely and positive manner relative to age and physical skill level.
**Fitness Instructor Job Requirements**:
* Preferred Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent, Fitness Instructor Certification
* Minimum Experience: 0 Years Experience as Fitness Instructor
* Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 Years Experience as Fitness Instructor
