Position: Controller
Hybrid Remote - 3 days onsite (no flex)
Primary Responsibilities:
" Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards.
" Develop and maintain the monthly, quarterly and annual closing calendars
" Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
" Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting
" Implementation and Maintenance of General Ledger and other Financial Reporting Systems/Processes
" Perform monthly consolidation of all subsidiaries and consolidation
" Accounts payable, cash, and other account reconciliations; expense reporting and analysis
" Assist with budget preparation and analysis
" Management of tax issues (compliance, liaison with tax preparers, tax audits, etc.) and the preparation of annual partnership returns
" Perform analytic reviews of financial results
" Ensure account reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in a timely manner
" Maintain internal safeguards for revenue, costs, team and organizational budgets and expenditures.
" Handle special projects and hands-on ad hoc requests outside the day-to-day operations
" Assist in establishing short- and long-range departmental goals and objectives
" Coordinate and manage the completion of annual financial audits in a timely and cost-effective manner
Desired Skills/Experience:
" 10+ years of professional accounting experience
" CPA required
" Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods required and Direct to Consumer a plus
" Experience with D365/Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred
Strong ability to present complex data clearly and strategically to multiple levels of management in an easy to understand manner with clear recommendations
Exceptional level of discipline, integrity and a strong sense of accountability for performance and driving results
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
High attention to detail and accuracy
Collaborative team player who builds relationships with stakeholders and outside partners
Strong continuous improvement mindset
