Type of Position: Full-time

Location: Hybrid or remote. Requires regular visits to company headquarters in Beverly, Massachusetts if remote. Candidate location in the Greater Boston Area is a plus.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, track record, education, and location; significant bonus opportunity; significant stock options; and excellent benefits.

Position Description:

Responsible for the development and execution of go-to-market plans for Thrive s instrument platforms, software and associated products. This is a strategic and tactical role that interacts collaboratively with engineering, software, R&D, and commercial teams to drive market adoption and innovation.


Responsibilities:

Products and Applications -- Build a strong understanding of the market, applications and customers in order to drive marketing plan execution and strategic direction.

  • Detailed knowledge of Thrive s products, customer requirements, and value proposition(s).
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify current and future customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate these insights into actionable marketing plans.
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop roadmaps to address critical applications.
  • Train commercial team in providing demonstrations and presentations for the targeted applications.
  • Establish strong customer relationships, conduct analyses of market awareness, and cultivate key opinion leaders.
  • Support customer collaborations and work with customers to develop application notes, white papers, and posters for peer review.


R&D and Commercial Teams Interface -- Establish strong relationships with the R&D and commercial teams.

  • Assist the sales team to qualify prospects, communicate product benefits, launch new products.
  • Provide field input to R&D for needed product enhancements and their prioritization.


Actively generate leads and refine prospect lists --

  • Develop prospect lists from the company s CRM, industry sources, databases and other sources.
  • Identify and train the commercial team on best methods for engaging with prospects.
  • Monitor, enhance, and utilize Thrive s CRM to develop effective prospect lists and record needed information.


Develop and enhance collateral and content for brochures, website, webinars, blogs, conferences in coordination with the commercial team and R&D.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management and marketing experience in life science capital instruments.
  • Strong experience and ability to effectively launch and build market share for new and recently introduced innovative life sciences instruments and related software.
  • Strong ability to communicate persuasively verbally and in writing.
  • Prior experience in direct sales of life sciences products (preferably with capital equipment) for 3+ years.
  • Strong life sciences background in order to effectively understand competition, applications and effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Self-starter who can work effectively in an early-stage, entrepreneurial company.
  • Experience in cell biology, cell culture, microscopy, live cell imaging, and bioprocessing is a strong plus.
  • Skilled in providing technical product demonstrations, video conferencing, and using CRMs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Word.
