RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely operate CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, gear shapers, etc.
- Set up CNC equipment.
- Perform inspections to ensure quality control.
- Monitor parts production for adherence to blueprint tolerances.
- Utilize inspection tools to ensure tolerances are correct.
- Deburr all parts after machining operation.
- Maintain and log daily labor time recording.
- Analyze and resolve machining issues.
- Recommend tooling improvements and improvements to processes.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Perform general shop duties or provide assistance to other departments.
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment concurrently.
- Assist with training to shop personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of technical schooling preferred.
- Must have 5 years of CNC Machinist experience within the manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of t micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators, bore gages.
- Knowledge of CMM s.
- Proficiency with all inspection methodologies.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and able to achieve continuous production improvements.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to speak, write, and read English and interpret documents.
- Effective communication skills.
