COMPENSATION RANGE: 1,080.00 - 1,300.00 per credit hour

This pool expires 05/31/2024. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2024, must reapply at that time.

Position Summary:

Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for temporary part-time positions in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. Teaching assignments will typically include lower division service courses but may include upper division undergraduate courses. Depending on need and the instructor's background, assignments could be in environmental science, geology, meteorology, or oceanography, and could include courses taken by preservice elementary teachers. Applicants with experience or interest in teaching such courses should state this in their application. Assigned courses may be coordinated: instructors must attend coordination meetings and work with the coordinator and other instructors.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master's or doctoral degree, or equivalent, in geology, meteorology, environmental science, oceanography or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who can provide evidence of successful college-level teaching. A commitment to student-focused, high quality instruction at the college level is essential.

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
