Job Description: As a Sanitation Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of our food plant. You will oversee all aspects of sanitation operations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement sanitation procedures, protocols, and schedules to ensure effective cleaning of all equipment, production areas, and facilities.
  2. Lead and supervise sanitation staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of production areas and equipment to identify sanitation issues and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
  4. Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to schedule cleaning activities that minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
  5. Monitor and maintain inventory of sanitation supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
  6. Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory compliance teams to ensure adherence to food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and USDA guidelines.
  7. Investigate sanitation-related incidents or complaints, implement corrective actions, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  8. Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of sanitation processes and identify areas for enhancement.
  9. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in sanitation and hygiene.
  10. Uphold a culture of safety, quality, and cleanliness among sanitation staff and throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
  2. Previous experience in sanitation management within the food manufacturing industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of sanitation principles, practices, and regulations, including HACCP, FDA, and USDA guidelines.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to effectively manage a team, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  7. Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot sanitation issues effectively.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sanitation software applications is desirable.
