Assistant Maintenance Manager Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and protocols to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
- Assist in developing and managing the maintenance department budget, including cost control measures and expenditure tracking.
- Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve overall business objectives.
Assistant Maintenance Manager Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, industrial controls, and mechanical equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in maintenance management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
