Our growing national client in CA is an innovative leader in US based Manufacturing is hiring for an exceptional Azure Cloud Architect/ Principal Engineer to bring forth the vision, lead the design and implementation and maintain their Cloud based solution that will support their Engineering team s initiatives and projects.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, define architectural standards, and develop scalable and secure cloud architectures. Your role will involve providing technical leadership, guiding teams through the entire project lifecycle, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices and Azure architectural principles.
*You will start in a contract-to-hire capacity.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience designing, architecting, and implementing enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Azure platforms.
In-depth understanding of Azure services and technologies across computer, networking, storage, databases, security, and governance.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
Experience with architecting and implementing microservices-based architectures and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Azure security best practices, identity management, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR, and SOC 2.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps.
Experience in designing and automating the deployment of cloud infrastructure in CI/CD pipelines and leverage cloud-native services to support application deployment and development.
Experience with Agile & DevSecOps methodologies.
Experience in data movement and transformation technologies.
Knowledge of US Government & Public Sector federal standards, including DFARS, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC L3, Cloud Computing SRG, etc.
Experience with Software development full lifecycle methodologies, patterns, frameworks, libraries, and tools
Knowledge of one or more programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python, PHP, Ruby, PERL, C++, etc.
Experience with relational, graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure Data Lake, etc.
Working knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau and understanding of analytics tools including Azure Stream Analytics, SQL Analytics, Data Lake Analytics.
IT experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform, considering factors such as scalability, availability, security, and cost optimization.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical designs and architectural blueprints.
Define and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for Azure cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams on implementing Azure services and technologies effectively.
Design and implement highly available and resilient architectures for mission-critical applications, leveraging Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure App Service, and Azure Functions
Architect data solutions on Azure, including data storage, data processing, and analytics services, ensuring data security, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with security teams to design and implement robust security controls and compliance measures for Azure environments.
Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Azure DevOps pipelines to streamline deployment and management of Azure resources.
Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, automating build, test, and deployment processes for cloud-native and hybrid applications.
Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to improve our cloud architecture and drive innovation.
Mentor and Knowledge transfer to client project team members
Participate as primary, co and/or contributing author on any and all project deliverables associated with their assigned areas of responsibility.
Participate in data conversion and data maintenance.
Provide best practice and industry specific solutions.
Advise on and provide alternative (out of the box) solutions.
