Join our Growing Neuroscience Critical Care team! Our Neuroscience ICU is looking to expand our NP team. Join our multidisciplinary team led by board certified neurointensivists which also includes two physician assistants and three acute care nurse practitioners. The NP role includes patient-centered care and management, bedside procedures, quality improvement activities, education, and teaching Our patient population includes a myriad of neurological disorders including: stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, tumor, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebrovascular, neurodegenerative, neuromuscular and seizure disorders. The Neurosciences engage the most advanced technologies including tele robot medicine, continuous EEG monitoring, capability for complex neuro interventional procedures as well as intracranial pressure and oxygen monitoring. There is a 6 month training period. Upon successful completion, work four 10 hr shifts, rotating days/evenings/weekends/holidays. Stroke call is light with an average of 2 stroke alerts per call. Stroke call is via telemedicine and can be taken from outside of the hospital. 7 stroke calls per month. No in house shifts past midnight. An annual CME stipend is offered. 100% supervision by the MD - close to zero liability from malpractice as a nurse practitioner because of this close working relationship with the MD. We also pay for medical malpractice insurance. We teach central lines, lumbar punctures, arterial lines on the job. This is a full time opportunity with health insurance benefits and a 401K. Job Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
