Job Description

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Providing Supervision and orientation to all assigned SW department staff and other professional disciplines
Assigning staff, planning schedules and ensuring adequate coverage
Assigning cases to staff to ensure that all patients are provided with timely and complete Social work services
Conducting timely and complete biopsychosocial assessments and providing appropriate interventions for all assigned cases
Providing therapeutic interventions drawing upon a wide range of treatment modalities, to high risk and complex cases. Coordinating case conference as needed and assisting other social worker units.
Providing information about community resources and participating as a member of the interdisciplinary team in developing appropriate aftercare plans.
Participating as a member of interdisciplinary teams in formulating and executing overall treatment and aftercare plans
Participating in interdisciplinary Performance Improvement Projects
Monitoring staff documentation for timeliness and completeness
Evaluating staff in a thorough and timely fashion
Monitoring staff compliance with established time and leave regulations and policies
Training and monitoring staff compliance with hospital and departmental policies
Other task may be assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work
LCSW from New York State Department of Education
Must have a minimum of two years' experience
