Rigger responsibilities include planning, laying out, assembling, repairing, and installing complex weight handling gear in addition to moving/positioning objects in both open and confined locations. Equipment that a Rigger uses includes chain falls, 15' J-Bars, tackle blocks, gallows frames and positioning fixtures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Moves/position large, complex components (i.e. 23' propellers) into open and confined spaces using a crane or other rigging materials.
  • Estimating weights and centers of gravity prior to lifting to ensure safety during handling.
  • Follows established rigging practices and procedures independently and clear unusual problems with supervisor.

Starting Pay*: $25.39/hr $30.83/hr (WG-05/08/10)
