Join our fast-growing team to improve lives through real estate. Our Operations Specialist (OS) is a senior-level property management professional who spearheads new property onboarding. Additionally, they dig into each property business plan, helping the onsite team understand their objectives. Proficient in our systems and processes, the OS understands the importance of adhering to standard operating procedures. Lastly, they are excited by the opportunity to travel frequently to new property groups and markets, filling in when there s a capacity gap, and improving operations during their stay.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure each property is accomplishing early business plan milestones
  • Translate the business plan into actionable objectives for the onsite team, ensuring clarity and alignment on objectives
  • Support and coach the onsite team
  • Execute on certain property onboarding tasks, such as data integrity, due diligence, tenant welcoming, signage, etc.
  • Ensure onboarding standard operating procedure (SOP) is fully executed
  • Collaborate with Regional Manager on any property-related or staffing issues
  • Be physically onsite routinely during the first 90 days, especially during the first 2 weeks (Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Cincinnati, and surrounding areas)
  • Consult with Regional Manager and local Property Manager on how to get focus properties back on track
  • Spend time onsite at focus properties to get a deeper understanding of root issues
  • Review the business plan of "focus properties" to identify disconnects
  • Provide coverage when existing staff are out-of-office for an extended period, or when there are capacity gaps
  • Assist existing staff with emergency situation response and remediation
  • Other duties as assigned to help Birgo improve lives through real estate


Knowledge & Experience


  • Superior understanding of property management best practices
  • 7+ years of experience managing properties
  • 2+ years of experience in a regional position
  • 1+ years of significant project management and coordination
  • Experience operating multiple properties at the same time

Other Requirements


  • Able to travel frequently (up to 50% to Buffalo and Cincinnati, up to an additional 50% around the Greater Pittsburgh Region)
  • Reliable personal transportation for visiting and inspecting properties that are spread over a multiple states
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs and traverse an uneven terrain to access all areas of the properties
  • Able to use a computer for a full workday

Compensation Range: $65,000-$80,000/year
