Job Title Business Applications Support Specialist Location Bismarck, ND Hiring Salary: $4,200 - $5,500/month depending on experience

The Office of Management and Budget is seeking an ambitious candidate with strong interpersonal and technical skills to join our knowledgeable, passionate, and high-performing Central Services team. We provide services that support state and local government entities and the vendor community.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in business work-flow processes, software support, and customer service. Work involves administering and providing technical support of multiple business applications and their maintenance, training, and enhancements, and managing projects.

* Identify, research, analyze and resolve system(s) or business work-flow gaps, conflicts, and risks. Consider applicable policy and collaborate with OMB staff, system users, programmers/analysts in North Dakota Information Technology Department (NDIT), and software vendor support staff to provide a recommended solution.

* Monitor, document, and resolve customer service/help desk questions or problems.

* Present and communicate technical and business concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

* Maintain knowledge of interfaces between OMB business applications, PeopleSoft, and business applications of other government agencies to research, analyze, and resolve problems.

* Identify, research, analyze, and resolve system(s) problems during analysis and design phases for enhancements and projects.

* Develop and process service requests, test plans, and case scenarios during the acceptance testing phase for enhancements and projects to test procedure changes, systems problems, and resolutions.

* Monitor system activities to provide effective planning and enhancement of the systems.

* Develop and design training and materials.

* Prepare, maintain/update system or business work-flow documentation and manuals.

* May serve as a lead for support, maintenance, training, enhancements, or projects.

**Minimum Qualifications**

* High school diploma/GED and six years of work experience in the information technology field; or

* Associates degree in information technology, business administration, or closely related field and four years of work experience in the information technology field; or

* Bachelors degree in information technology, business administration, or closely related field and two years of work experience in the information technology field.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Strong knowledge of enterprise software applications and business-to-business integration.

* Strong communication, analytical, and consultation skills.

* Strategic planning and project management experience.

* Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
