Our newest cold storage facility is under construction opening in January 2025, and it represents our second expansion in five years. We need someone with the skills, drive, and passion to help us fill it with new customers.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sales and marketing and strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales and Marketing Representative at WCS Logistics in Winchester, VA. The Sales and Marketing Representative will be responsible for day-to-day sales and marketing activities, including communication with customers, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth
- Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and online platforms
- Set appointments and follow up on leads with potential customers
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and retention
- Provide regular reports on sales activities and results to management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the logistics or related industry
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and negotiate with clients
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to track leads, manage pipelines, and generate reports
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with a demonstrated ability to work independently or work with a team as well as meet deadlines
- In-depth knowledge of market research techniques and data analysis to identify opportunities and make informed business decisions
- Strong problem-solving mindset with the flexibility and adaptability to change depending on the situation
