About this Position:

TJFACT is seeking to hire a well-qualified Intelligence Analyst (IA) to join our Team in Baghdad, Iraq!

This position is located at the U.S. Embassy and Consulate overseas primarily in a designated high threat country.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly meetings with Vetting Contract personnel to discuss progress, obstacles to success, and the way ahead.
  • Collaborate with Vetting Contract Team for scheduled screenings for upcoming to have results and notes available for CISS to tailor questions-addressed issue of getting the list to us earlier in the week, versus submitting late requests.
  • Supports Vetting Contract personnel regarding review of specific information vital to their investigations.
  • Answers e-mail inquiries from other offices regarding threat information. Responses should provide analysis and assessment, as necessary, and should be sent in a time frame commensurate with the urgency of the threat.
  • Prepare and present oral briefings on findings to IINL management and other DS or Embassy offices as appropriate.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of analytical experience with the Department of State, Department of Defense, or equivalent government agency is required.
  • Requires Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Active security clearance.
  • Strong background in the following analytical areas: Near East Asia regional analysis, Political analysis, Intelligence Collections, and HUMINT analysis.
  • Must be proficient in basic computer applications and intelligence-related automation to support analytical efforts and product development.
  • Must possess strong briefing skills and be capable of effectively directing subordinate analysts in accomplishing intelligence products and assessments.
  • Problem-solving skills and prioritizing multiple and sometimes conflicting and complex tasks.
  • Must be able to operate as part of a team, cooperate effectively with other team members, and be mission-focused.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups from various levels and backgrounds.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Iraq or Afghanistan is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a high-threat environment and experience with U.S. Department of State security operations are strongly preferred.
