Plant Manager

MK Search is currently partnered with a medium-sized specialty chemical manufacturer, the company is a leader in developing and producing high-quality chemical solutions for a wide range of industries.
They are seeking a Plant Manager responsible for all site operations for their key plant in Houston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight: Lead and manage all site operations of the production department to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective production of specialty chemicals.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Implement and optimize production processes and equipment for maximum efficiency, quality, and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that production outputs meet or exceed quality standards and customer specifications.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, and promote a safety-first culture within the production team.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the production budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the chemical manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Strong knowledge of chemical production processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and manage a diverse team.
- Proficiency in production-related software and systems.
- Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations.
