Job Details
This company is a financial leader in the Chicago market and is looking to grow its Data team. You will work in an internal consulting capacity with a range of companies in the Healthcare, Real Estate, Food & Beverage, and Business services, to help them clean their data and build meaningful reports and visualizations, to help drive insights. This is a Microsoft-centric team, so the work is all within the Microsoft Data Stack. They have engineers on the team handling the data Architecture and Data Pipelines, so this role will initially all be focused on Power BI, for reports and dashboards. The role is 5- days a week in the loop so someone local to Chicago is crucial. Requirements:
- Proficiency in Power BI development, including report and dashboard creation
- Prior experience working for a Big 4 firm or a Data Analytics consulting firm is a requirement for this position.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts
- Experience with SQL for data manipulation and writing queries
- Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for creating calculations
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, the role will be part of the internal Center of Excellence
- Ability to work with a variety of clients to help them get value from their data
- Adaptability to changing business requirements
- A bachelor s degree in computer science, data analytics, finance, economics, and related field
- Power BI certifications are a plus
Nice to have:
- Experience working with messy data and helping with data cleansing or data governance
- Prior Consulting Experience
