Overview:

Seattle Galvanizing Company, the Northwest s Largest Galvanizer, based in Arlington, WA, is seeking an experienced Industrial Recruiter/HR Admin to join our Human Resources team. This role is integral in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent, as well as focusing on employee retention and conducting HR administrative tasks. This fast-paced position requires managing recruitment for over 6+ roles simultaneously across three different industrial operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies designed to meet the unique demands of the galvanizing industry, abrasive blasting, powder coating, and wet paint industries.
  • Manage the entire recruitment process from drafting job descriptions to posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys and analyze results to develop retention strategies.
  • Coordinate company events and team-building activities to enhance employee engagement.
  • Work closely with department managers to identify staffing needs and the qualifications required for job openings.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods including digital recruitment platforms, job fairs, and networking events to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Ensure a swift recruitment process to maintain productivity and meet labor demands.
  • Maintain recruitment metrics to track and report on recruitment activity and results.
  • Provide coaching and training on interview techniques and candidate selection processes to hiring managers.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Perform additional HR administrative duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of overall recruiting experience.
  • Proven experience using Paylocity, Indeed, and LinkedIn Recruiter tools.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, and employer branding techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with HR employment laws.


  • Ability to handle multiple positions simultaneously and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of labor legislation and employment best practices.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.


Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Office working environment that involves sitting for long periods of time and walk, climb stairs, bend, stretch.
  • Frequently in and around production areas.
  • Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, initiative and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent computer skills including but not limited to MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and other recruiting software s.
