Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum one year working with children in group settings; management experience a plus.

Skills and Qualifications:

Artistic Expertise: Proficiency in various art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, etc., with a strong foundation in techniques, styles, and mediums.

Teaching and Instructional Skills: Ability to effectively communicate art concepts and techniques to students of different skill levels, demonstrating patience and adaptability in teaching methods.

Youth Development and Engagement: Understanding of child and adolescent development, with the ability to engage and connect with young learners, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive learning environment.

Equipment and Material Management: Proficiency in handling and maintaining art tools, materials, and equipment, as well as organizing storage areas to ensure their proper use and availability.

Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and execute art-related events, contests, displays, exhibitions, and visits to museums and galleries.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Capability to work collaboratively with other staff members, ensuring a cohesive and supportive environment for the students.

Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity Awareness: Creating an inclusive environment that respects cultural, linguistic, ethnic, and socio-economic diversity among students.

Program Implementation and Assessment: Ensuring that art programs are implemented effectively and conducting assessments, both formal and informal, impartially and in accordance with program goals.

Time Management: Managing time effectively to meet deadlines for program activities and transitions, and preventing children from waiting unoccupied for extended periods.

Data Management and Reporting: Proficiency in inputting and gathering relevant data for membership management or outcomes tracking systems, as well as generating reports as needed.
