Operations Manager

Oak City Columns is a family-owned millwork manufacturing business that has been servicing the construction industry in NC, SC and VA for over 20 years. We primarily manufacture exterior millwork products for both residential and commercial projects and take pride in providing a consistent balance between product quality, customization and meeting customer budget considerations.


The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The operations manager will report directly to the owner and will work closely with both the owner and production manager. They should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with the office and manufacturing departments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction management and/or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily functions of the business.
  • Communicate with customers to determine their millwork needs.
  • Examine building plans and do take-offs to anticipate customer needs.
  • Assist customers with on-site pick-ups.
  • Build and maintain the product delivery schedule to meet customer timelines.
  • Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and quality control.
  • Ensure final product quality and delivery accuracy.
  • Manage purchased inventory and supply ordering.


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience in the construction or manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of building plans/blueprints.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills both internally and with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Comfort working with multiple groups within business.
