Principal Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Base Salary Range: $185k- $215k
We re seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a fast-growing engineering company, developing state-of-the-art wireless communications systems for defense and avionics applications.
Responsibilities:
As a principal member of staff, you will
- Be responsible for all stages of Embedded Systems software development for new and existing products
- Implement networking protocols
- Develop Linux kernel drivers
- Customize and re-architect Embedded Linux systems.
- Improve product security and overall performance
- Assume a technical lead on assigned projects and make key decisions in design processes
- Provide technical guidance to other team members.
Required experience:
- Extensive Embedded systems software development experience
- C programming expertise
- Linux Kernel Driver development
- BSP development, ideally for ARM
- Understanding of Ethernet, MAC, and IP networking protocols
- U.S. citizenship is required due to defense contracts
