As a **senior inside catastrophe claims adjuster** on our Home & Property team, youll care for customers impacted by wildfires, hailstorms, tornadoes, and other weather-related events. Primarily over the phone, youll handle coverage and damage analysis on residential property claims once you receive completed estimates. Using strong negotiation and customer service skills, youll ensure claims are fairly and accurately investigated for our customers. This position may require extended weekday hours and weekends during a catastrophic event.
This is a remote position.
**Duties & responsibilities can include**
* Approve and adjust estimates of damage and loss amounts
* Determines extent of companys liability
* Use varying methods of investigation including taking recorded statements, consulting with police, inspecting property damage and reviewing documents
* Estimate cost of repairs, replacement or compensation
* Take on mentorship responsibilities or project-related work as needed
**Must-have qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree or higher and at least two years of property claims handling
* Instead of the above, associate degree or higher and three years of work experience within financial services, customer service, construction, property management, or related field; at least two years of which must be in property claims handling
* Instead of a degree, five years of work experience in one of the fields noted above, at least two years of which must be in property claims handling
* Adjuster 620 License required within 30 days of hire
**Schedule:** Preferred Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday, Monday-Friday limited
**Compensation**
* $68,000-$80,000/year depending on candidate experience and location
* Gainshare bonus up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
* An additional 10% when you work weekend hours
