Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our finance team in Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring efficient cash flow management, and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective credit and collections management.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct credit checks and analyses for new customers to establish credit limits and terms; manage adjustments to existing credit lines as necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updating of customer documentation.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities impacting cash flow; initiate collection efforts including direct customer contact and involvement of collection agencies when appropriate.
  • Recommend actions on problem accounts and manage bad debt write-offs; process credit balance refunds and resolve sales tax certification issues.
  • Process and post credit card payments, and confirm ACH/wire payments.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in compliance with accounting principles.
  • Generate financial reports and queries as required by management and team members.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tools and training programs related to accounts receivable functions.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable; experience in Accounts Payable is a plus.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in Finance.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Business or Accounting preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, Credit Risk Analysis, Invoicing, Credit memos, and Collections.
  • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with SAGE software is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to prepare executive summaries and interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
