PATH operates services throughout California, connecting our clients to a comprehensive continuum of homelessness prevention, street outreach, employment preparation and placement assistance, individualized case management, supportive services, interim housing, and permanent supportive housing.

PATH is seeking candidates passionate about making a difference in the lives of others to join our Interim Housing Program in Santa Barbara as a Kitchen Aide.

**ABOUT OUR INTERIM HOUSING PROGRAMS**

Our Interim Housing programs provide low-barrier, high-tolerance settings for program participants, referred to as guests, who are experiencing homelessness and have a variety of complex health, functional and social needs. These home-like environments are coupled with support and case management services to assist guests with developing a plan to break the cycle of homelessness, stabilize in housing and reintegrate into the community.

The Kitchen Aide is an integral part of our Interim Housing. They help us create the welcoming, home-like environment by ensuring the kitchen and dining room are kept clean, stocked and ready. Responsibilities of the Kitchen Aide include:

* Organizing and maintaining the walk-in fridge, pantry and freezer daily

* Preparing the serving area for the dinners fixed by the Kitchen Cook/Chef and to serve dinner

* Performing daily cleaning projects as assigned by the Kitchen Cook/Chef

* Coordinating volunteers and members to help with food serving and cleaning up the serving area and kitchen area after dinner

* Preparing the sack lunches for the next day

* Giving assignments that are relevant to the community kitchen to volunteers and community service people

* Ensuring compliance with and signing off on all cleaning and health department logs daily

* Making sure the kitchen is cleaned and organized and in compliance with the health department at all times

* Triaging with the Kitchen Cook/Chef on a daily basis to ensure coordination within the kitchen between shifts

**WHAT YOU BRING**

Were looking for candidates that:

* Have an outgoing and optimistic personality

* Have basic understanding of commercial kitchen appliances

* Have the ability to lift 25+ pounds on a regular basis

* Possess a high level of tolerance and understanding for individuals with urgent and multiple case management and health needs

* Work just as well independently as they do on a team

* Demonstrate the ability to communicate in a clear and concise matter

**MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS**

For this role the Kitchen Aide must:

* Be ServSafe certified

* Have employment eligibility verification

* Have or be able and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid training

* Provide proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination

* Have reliable transportation and:

+ A valid drivers license

+ Auto Insurance

+ The ability to qualify for PATH insurance coverage

* Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:

+ Tuberculosis Test

+ Background Screening

+ Drug Test

**COVID-19 VACCINATION**

Effective 11/01/2021 PATH will require all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. All prospective hires will be expected to provide proof of full vaccination as part of the pre-employment credentialing process.

**Joel John Roberts**

**Chief Executive Officer, PATH Ventures**

Joel John Roberts, Chief Executive Officer, has led PATH for 25 years, was the founder and CEO of PATH Ventures, PATHs real estate affiliate, and the CEO of PATH Partners. Joel joined PATH as its Executive Director in 1996 when the agency was a single-location agency in West Los Angeles. Under his leadership, the agency has grown into a statewide agency, serving 150 cities and 20% of Californias homeless population. Joel is a board member of CalNonprofits, San Diegos Regional Task Force on Homelessness, 2-1-1 San Diego, and Santa Clara Countys Destination: Home. Joel also serves on San Diegos New Market Tax Credit Advisory Board and was co-chairperson for the previous Governors California Interagency Council on Veterans/Interventions to Solve Homelessness Sub-Committee.

He is the author of the book, How to Increase Homelessness, and frequently pens opinion pieces for news outlets across the state. Joel completed his bachelors degree in communications at California State University, Long Beach and masters degree in cross cultural studies at Fuller Seminary. When Joel has spare time, he likes to travel to exotic places around the world.

**Georgeanne Barrett**

**Director of Development and Communications**

Georgeanne Barrett joined PATH in June 2016 as the Director of Development. Georgeanne oversees PATHs private giving, fundraising events, and volunteer program with an emphasis on engaging new individual and corporate support.

Her background includes several years of experience in the nonprofit sector doing development work for organizations benefiting at-risk youth, children, and families. She has experience in volunteer management, event planning, and community engagement. Georgeanne received her Bachelors of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Arizona.

**Michuan Flemming**

**Senior Director of Human Resources**

Michuan Fleming is a Human Resources executive with more than 15 years of experience. She is currently the Senior Director of Human Resource for PATH. Michuan is responsible for creating innovative ways to engage all employees and establishing the culture, systems, and training that will develop leaders and empower employees to solve problems. She has also led efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our Human Resource function.

Prior to our company, Ms. Fleming was Director of Human Resources at FVO Solutions and at Pacific Protection Services. Ms. Fleming holds the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and HRCI Senior Professional in Human Resource Certification (SPHR).

**Chuck Flacks**

**Director of Programs, PATH Santa Barbara**

Chuck Flacks joined PATH in November of 2017 as the Program Director of PATH Santa Barbara, where he oversees operations and case management of clients. Chuck has over 25 years of experience in nonprofit programs. Prior to PATH, Chuck worked at the Central Coast Collaborative on Homelessness (C3H). C3H is a county-wide collaborative that works in partnership with a broad group of service providers and stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit org
