They're hiring a like-minded NiFi developer with 4-7+ years of experience to join their exceptionally talented teams working in offices in Wisconsin, Mexico, and the Netherlands.
The NiFi developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data flows using Apache NiFi to ensure efficient data processing, distribution, and reliability across systems. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance existing operational data flow processes and implement new solutions.

Compensation: $80,000 - $130,000 plus benefits (insurance, PTO, etc.), commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache NiFi to enable efficient data ingestion, transformation, and routing.
- Implement and optimize data flow architectures, including data storage, transport, security, compliance, and monitoring.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to clean, enrich, and transform raw data into usable formats.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into NiFi workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow performance, data quality, and system reliability.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within NiFi workflows.
- Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting languages like Bash and Python.
- Integrate NiFi with other systems and platforms to facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability.
Required Skills:
- 4-7+ years of hands-on experience in Apache NiFi development and administration, certification preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Java and NiFi Expression Language (EL).
- Experience with data serialization formats (e.g., JSON, Avro, XML) and data transport protocols (e.g., HTTP, Kafka, MQTT).
- Experience with other Apache projects (e.g., Kafka, Hadoop, Spark) and related technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of distributed computing and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing NiFi clusters for high availability and scalability.
- Experience with NiFi security configurations (e.g., SSL, LDAP) and integration with authentication systems.
- Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience designing, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows.
- Familiarity with corporate data flow processes, tools, security, and compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Desired Skills:
- Scripting skills using Bash and Python for automation and integration tasks.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and automation tools like Terraform
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of network APIs and middleware technologies.
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) services and API management.
- Proficiency in Java and related J2EE technologies for development, debugging, and profiling.
- Expertise in XML, XSD, XSLT, and regular expressions for data manipulation.
- Knowledge of supply chain and master data concepts is a plus.
- Understanding of interface architecture with ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile solutions (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle, SAP) is advantageous.
