Role Description
This is a full-time Associate Attorney position with 1-5 years of experience, located in our Chicago office.
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for a wide range of legal tasks, including attending court hearings, trials, and depositions, conducting legal research, drafting motions/pleadings/briefs, providing legal advice, and negotiating on behalf of clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks. The Firm regularly tries cases in state and federal courts, so an interest in trials is essential.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited ABA law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois
- 1-5 years of civil litigation experience as a lawyer
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Experience with legal research and analyzing legal issues
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Experience writing motions/briefs
- Experience with depositions is a plus
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience, and includes a base salary and performance bonus. The firm offers health insurance, 401k, dental/vision, and other group benefits.
