Bridgeline Staffing is currently seeking multiple contracted paraprofessionals to join our team at a Special Education school in Newton, NH. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Qualifications:
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
- Have previous experience with Special Education children, preferably in a group setting
- Have effective and positive communication skills
- Participates in TCIS Training and is capable of implementing the physical restraint technique. Must be able to meet physical demands of position, (lifting, carrying, squatting, climbing, running, swimming and restraining students).
- Must be willing to complete paraprofessional certification
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safety of students and staff.
- Assists the teacher in developing and maintaining positive communications with staff and students
- Assists the team in the preparation and implementation of all elements of each student's individual educational plan
- Assists the team in preparing each student's bi-weekly goals
- Participates in staff meetings as may be required by the teacher, SLC, Administrators, and/or host school
- Participates in all appropriate in-service training offered by the agency unless excused by the Executive Director
- Participates in all physical education activities such as field sports, ABLE and swimming.
- Performs other such duties as may be required by the Program Director and/or the Co Directors
