PurposeCoordinate and perform the general ledger activities and assist in preparing monthly financial statements. Responsible for maintaining general ledger balances in conformity with GAAP. Plays an integral role in recurring accounting tasks.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCompile financial information and assist in the preparation of reports
Complete time sensitive recurring tasks related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Prepare and load journal entries.
Research account activity and summarize findings to satisfy requests.
Prepare bank account reconciliations and support cash reporting tasks.
Assist with allocating transactions by location.
Assist Accounting Team with ad hoc assignments.
Work collaboratively with other Entity and Division accounting teams to ensure financial statement completeness and accuracy.
Work collaboratively with cross functional departments to reach satisfactory results.
Meet deadlines and communicate findings and status timely.
Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
1-2 years prior experience in an accounting role
Preferred SkillsStrong communication skills
Attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to quickly learn new software
Strong research skills
Be a flexible person who is change adept
Ability to meet deadlines using good time management skills
