Our client is currently looking to identify a Corporate Counsel to join the legal team support the Corporate Development and other cross-functional areas on a deals, particularly in the renewable energy space.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on a wide range of matters related to renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to renewable energy projects, such as power purchase agreements (PPAs), land leases, and construction agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure favorable terms and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with project development teams to assess feasibility, site selection, and project financing.
- Provide legal support during project development, construction, and operation phases.
- Stay informed about changes in renewable energy policies, regulations, and incentives.
- Advocate for favorable policies that promote clean energy adoption.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the state bar association.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on renewable energy, project finance, or M&A deals with renewable energy companies.
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations impacting the renewable energy sector.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
