Responsibilities:
  • Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
  • Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
  • Maintain good attendance record
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate departmental staff (management staff only)
  • Plan, schedule and supervise environmental services activities and schedules at the facility according to budget
  • Monitor and supervise Environmental Services at TBP
  • Develop and maintain an environmental services policy and procedure manual
  • Insure thorough cleanliness of facility by making necessary environmental rounds
  • Establish a work-log or checklist for daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly environmental services tasks
  • Assist in identifying/selecting supply vendors
  • Remain deficiency free, meeting all state-federal; licensing requirements
  • Train/counsel staff, as appropriate, regarding cleaning/laundry techniques, safety, facility and departmental procedures
  • Responsible for all housekeeping, laundry and floor technician functions
  • Assist with QA rounds for Environmental Services on a weekly basis
  • Oversee employee time sheets/schedules, ensuring completion of appropriate paperwork (i.e. missed time, PTO requests)
  • Communicate and coordinate with leadership, other departments and Environmental Services needs in their specific departments
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English, utilizing excellent communication skills
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Prior experience in healthcare/resort/ccrc housekeeping, floor care(minimum of three years)
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience (minimum of five years)
  • Ability to perform Essential Duties
  • Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, people with disabilities and hospice patients
  • Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
  • Computer literate, word, excel, emails and use of CMMS (worx-hub)
  • Ability of comply with the Residents Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibility
  • Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
